SUMMARY:2023 SPE Denver Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Dear Fellow SPE Golf Sponsors: \nThe Denver Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers is pleased to announce our annual golf tournament on Friday August 11th at The Ridge at Castle Pines North. As in previous years\, breakfast\, lunch and dinner will be included. Separate award ceremonies and raffle drawings will take place immediately following each flight\, thereby eliminating the need to return in the evening to collect prizes. \nThe proceeds from the tournament benefit the SPE Scholarship Fund and are distributed to petroleum engineering students in the Rocky Mountain Region. Our 2022 tournament resulted in a donation of over $36\,000! We constantly strive to exceed the previous years’ donations and to do so\, we will need the continued support of your organization. \nThe majority of the scholarship money comes from your generous sponsorship and support. Those companies generously donating $1\,500 or more will receive the ultimate recognition as a Platinum Sponsor. Likewise\, companies donating $1000\, $500 or $300 will be recognized as Gold\, Silver\, or Bronze sponsors. The sponsoring companies will be recognized at the tournament and in the SPE Newsletter. \nClick here to register or visit the Denver SPE website at Denver.spe.org \nPlease contact Sam Armstrong at denverspegolf@gmail.com with any questions or concerns with registration. \nPlease pass this letter along to your coworkers and friends in the Industry. \nThe facilities at The Ridge at Castle Pines North are spectacular and challenging. We hope that you can be a part of the 2023 SPE Golf Tournament with both your contribution and your participation. Your support is truly appreciated. \n  \nBest Regards\,\nChris Guidry\nSPE Golf Committee Chairman \n  \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:SPE Workshop: Refracturing : A Proven Strategy to Maximize Economic Recovery
DESCRIPTION:Refracturing creates highly attractive opportunities to use existing wellbores for additional hydrocarbon recovery without having to drill a new well\, reducing environmental impact. Within a given field\, the completion techniques typically evolve leaving many wells with stranded volumes of commercial hydrocarbons. Re-entry and re-stimulation is a proven approach to economically recover those previously stranded resources. \n  \nRefracturing parent wells has also become a valuable option for mitigating the negative impacts of fracturing interaction from infill wells or child wells leading many operators to co-develop refracturing of projects alongside new drill activity. Potential improved performance of new drill wells\, protection of existing parent wellbores\, ESG synergies\, and capital efficiencies are among the reasons that some operators have adopted this strategy. \n\nTopics to be covered:  \n\nCandidate ranking and refracturing program management\nCo-development of refracs with new drill wells\, and management of fracture driven interactions\nDeployment techniques and intervention requirements \nZonal isolation and chemical/mechanical diversion \nRefracture stimulation design and modeling \nDiagnostics and surveillance \nFuture/Emerging Technologies\nSuccesses/Failures and lessons learned\n\n\nVENUE \n📍 Grand Hyatt Denver\n1750 Welton St\nDenver\, CO 80202 USA \nSPE CONTACT\n\nWorkshop/Sponsorship Information \nAlyssa Moreno\n✉ | Email Alyssa \n\n\nRegistration \n✉ | Registration@spe.org \n\n
