Deciphering the DJ Basin: A Technical Exploration and Comparative Analysis with the Permian
Abstract: This presentation provides an in-depth analysis of the unconventional Niobrara play in the DJ Basin, utilizing machine learning models. We will dissect production trends, activity levels, and the underlying drivers of production, providing a nuanced understanding of the interplay between completions design, lateral lengths, subsurface conditions, and well spacing. The insights gleaned will present a detailed portrayal of the play’s dynamics and potential during a time of consolidation. We include a comparative analysis of the Permian as valuable context as both basins advance into their second decade of unconventional production.
