The Denver Section of SPE scholarship program has been in effect for over 20 years. The section currently supports 5 schools within the Rocky Mountain Region. These schools include Colorado School of Mines, Montana Technological, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, University of North Dakota, and University of Wyoming.
If your child is studying Petroleum Engineering and is a junior or senior at one of these schools, please encourage them to fill out an application. The application is distributed and collected by the school’s Petroleum Engineering department during the fall semester and is then forwarded to the scholarship committee. Money for the scholarships is generated by fund raisers such as the Denver Section summer golf tournament, local seminars and other social events. To date, the Denver Section has bestowed close to $930,000.
